This class outlines benefits of controlling buoyancy; enhancing the diver’s sense of enjoyment, and feeling of accomplishment. This specialty is designed to increase the open water diver’s understanding of the factors that influence the diver’s buoyancy, and to train the diver in using all means available to control their buoyancy. The added benefits of having a diver in better control of their buoyance is to protect the environment, reduce the effort of diving, and improve air consumption.
The class consists of classroom instruction and an practical application in an extended pool session.
Prerequisite: You must be at least Open Water certified to take this course.
