Earth Day @ Blue Lake!
Blue Lake is one of Utah's best-loved dive spots, and it needs our help.
Every April, The Dive Shop heads to Blue Lake on Earth Day to give something back. We clear trash, repair the damaged walkway and facilities, and pull refuse out of the lake.
It's free to join. You'll get a discount on rental gear, plus a hotel discount if you want to come early and dive on Friday.

Why Blue Lake needs us
Blue Lake is a popular spot for fishermen, campers and divers. Unfortunately, some visitors leave it in worse shape than they found it.
So every April, The Dive Shop sponsors a trip to put things right. It's a good day, a good crowd, and a good reason to get in the water.

What we do
- Clear trash from the shoreline and campsites

About Blue Lake
Blue Lake is about 16 miles south of Wendover, Utah. It's fed by a steady flow of clear spring water, and a thermal spring bubbles up from the lake floor. It sits at about 4,300 feet and is roughly 60 feet deep.
The water stays comfortable year-round. Wikipedia reports bottom temperatures near 85°F, with surface temperatures from the high 60s in winter to the high 70s in summer. Late fall and early spring are the best times to dive. In summer, algae blooms can cut visibility a lot.
The lake and its surroundings are public land managed by the Bureau of Land Management. That's one more reason to leave no trace. Blue Lake is also where we run our Open Water certification dives.
